I have a usb keyboard connected to it, and so I ran V-command for verbose, and I would keep pressing enter fast - and it would go black screen, then white screen, then take me to the password. I have it plugged into the MagSafe, and the keyboard doesn't work, only command and I think shift. I also brought the 2010 battery which I connected on to the logic board (don't ask how, it barely fits, but good not loose or anything) but the problem I'm running into is it shuts off when it's halfway through the loading bar - and it does with the battery connected and disconnected. I bought a 2010 unibody with keyboard, no trackpad (I bought one and installed it) and then I bought a 2011 logic board (A1286 I'm not sure it's that one, but I read it was) and then a 1tb hard drive and 16gb ram. I'm having a huge problem with my MacBook Pro, so I recently decided to build my own MacBook (cuz it's cheaper) and, well I probably didn't do such a great job, even tho I'm confident I did find with the build OK.
Hello guys I'm having a huge problem with my MacBook Pro so I recently decided to build my own MacBook cuz it's cheaper and well I probably didn't do such a great job even tho I'm confident I did find with the build ok so let's get down to the specs I bought a 2010 unibody with keyboard no trackpad i bought one and installed it and then I bought a 2011 logic board A1286 I'm not sure it's that one but i read it was and then a 1tb hard drive and 16gb ram also brought the 2010 battery which I connected on to the logic board don't ask how it berly fits but good not lose or anything but the problem I'm running into is it shuts off when it's halfway threw the loading bar and it does with the battery connected and disconnected when I have it plugged into the MagSafe and the keyboard doesn't work only command ans I think shift I have a usb keyboard connected to it and so I ran V-command for verbose and well i would keep pressing enter fast and it would go black screen then white screen then take me to the password and I was able to go in after 2 or 3 min it would shut off and so I kept doing that and I finally decided to type fsck it would say volume ok and I put reboot and after it would still do the same thing then I discovered I can go into recovery mode disk utility and my partition is there new I tried reinstalling installing osx Yosemite and it would say some type of error but get this on disk utility while connected it stays on and dosent shut off so I tried repair disk and verify disk and nothing so I tried erase left for about a day and a half and then had a bootable usb with el capitan and well it goes about little bit halfway and ***** off starts over so can someone help please ?
